Thane: Vetic Pet Clinic in Thane West was forced to close its doors after a video surfaced online, showing staff members assaulting a pet dog during a grooming session. The disturbing footage sparked widespread outrage among animal lovers and activists, prompting authorities to take action. Two individuals involved in the incident, who callously mistreated the pet and recorded the abuse, have been arrested by the Thane police.
Videos circulating online depict the arrest of the perpetrators by the Thane police, although their identities remain undisclosed. Additionally, the authorities ordered the closure of the pet clinic in response to the incident.

In response to the controversy, a spokesperson for Vetic expressed deep concern, labeling the incident as “shocking and completely unacceptable.” They announced the immediate termination of the involved employees and assured a thorough investigation into the matter. Collaborating with authorities, the clinic has initiated legal proceedings.
Reports indicate that the incident occurred earlier in February when the pet owner entrusted their dog to the Thane-based clinic while celebrating their wedding. However, the boarding services provided by the clinic turned out to be anything but satisfactory.
The pet’s owner was reportedly unaware of the ordeal their dog endured until the video surfaced, revealing the extent of the mistreatment. The traumatized dog has since been relocated to PetAshram, a pet boarding service in Thane, where it is reportedly recovering well.
